Every once in a while the universe hands you something so delightful, so unexpected, so aggressively aimed at that soft, nostalgic part of your brain that you have no choice but to melt into a puddle of childhood joy. And this week that thing is a Polly Pocket collaboration with Back to the Future.
Yes. Polly Pocket. Back to the Future. In one tiny time traveling compact. Marty McFly is now officially pocket sized and honestly I cannot think of a better use of the multiverse.

To celebrate the film's 40th anniversary, Mattel dropped a collector friendly Polly Pocket set that unfolds into two classic locations from the movie. On one side you get the Enchantment Under the Sea dance, complete with a micro Marty ready to tear into Johnny B Goode. On the other side you get Hill Valley's town square, clock tower and all, including a very polite lightning bolt accessory because of course you need to reenact the moment Doc almost got crisped.
The set comes with three micro figures Marty, Doc, and Lorraine. You can peg them into different spots like they are tiny time traveling Lego minifigs. Marty even gets his tiny hoverboard because someone at Mattel knows exactly how to make fans scream into a pillow.

The DeLorean also clips into different locations, which means you can make Doc drive in circles for no reason except that it brings you joy. The whole thing is bright, adorable, and feels like the kind of crossover that would have broken my brain at age ten in the best way.
It is a Mattel Creations exclusive and is already up for grabs for 33 dollars, which is honestly a steal considering you can literally keep one of the greatest movies of all time in your pocket. Just do not let Biff borrow it.
